Les Alpilles is characterized by its rugged limestone mountain range, olive groves, and fragrant pine forests.
The region inspired many artists, including Vincent van Gogh, who painted some of his famous works here while being in Saint Rémy de Provence.
Les Alpilles is home to charming villages like Les Baux-de-Provence, Maussane and Eygalières.
ROMAN TOUR
- Nîmes : The Arena is a well-preserved Roman amphitheater that once hosted gladiatorial contests and other events. « La Maison Carrée » is an ancient Roman temple, remarkable example of Roman architecture.
- Pont du Gard : This ancient Roman aqueduct bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s a remarkable example of Roman engineering and architecture, built to transport water to the city of Nîmes.
- Orange : The Roman Theater in Orange is one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world. It’s renowned for its exceptional acoustics and grand stage wall.
MARSEILLE
Both Fort Saint-Jean (part of the historic harbor defense) and MUCEM (Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations) offer spectacular views of Marseille’s coastline, the Old Port, and the Mediterranean Sea. You will enjoy picturesque panoramas while wandering through the sites.
After a amazing lunch on a barge in the iconic Old Port (Vieux-Port), you’ll enjoy the shortest cruise of your life !
During the tour, you will explore Le Panier considered as the heart of Marseille, before heading to the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde, a hilltop basilica offering panoramic views of the city.
CASSIS – AIX
Cassis is known for its breathtaking Calanques, a series of steep-walled inlets with clear blue waters. You can take a boat tour to explore these natural wonders and enjoy the stunning coastal landscapes.
After stroll and lunch in Cassis, we’ll head to Aix.
Aix-en-Provence is rich in history and culture, known for its elegant architecture and the Cours Mirabeau, the « Champs Elysées » from Aix. A perfect shopping spot !

You’ll have lunch in another value for money restaurant close to les Dentelles de Montmirail.
